Municipality of Brighton

Brighton retains the spirit of the area’s early settlers, who established some of the finest apple orchards in Canada. (The town still enthusiastically celebrates the apple harvest every fall with its “Applefest” event.) Glimpses of the town’s agricultural past can be seen everywhere.

Truly charming, and long known as a summer resort town, Brighton although surrounded by farms, is now growing with many new homes and interesting shops.

Situated on the northeast shore of Lake Ontario and nestled within one of the best-protected harbours on the lake, it’s easy to fall in love with Brighton, Ontario real estate that offers beautiful landscapes and a relaxed atmosphere with many convenient amenities.

Just south of Brighton, Presqu’ile Provincial Park offers swimming, camping, windsurfing, diving, nature programs, or a visit to the Heritage Centre at the oldest operating lighthouse on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Cross-country ski trails are available during the winter.
